Burlington moving FAQ
How do you hold the flat rate?
The number comes off what you actually have and how we get to it, we write it down, and we stand behind it. If the load matches what you told us, the figure at the end is the one you signed.
Is it your crew or subcontractors?
Ours, every time. Erik runs a small, trained crew on our own trucks, no broker in the middle, no day-labor, and nobody you have not heard of handling your things.
When do I pay, and how?
When the job is finished, not before. Card, check, or cash all work, and you okay the final total right there before the crew heads out.
Do you need a deposit?
A small refundable one reserves your date and crew, and that is it. Everything else is due once the job wraps up, and the estimate itself never costs a cent.
Will stairs or a piano cost extra later?
No. A staircase, a long carry down a farm lane, or a piano or safe are all figured into the written number before we start, so the end matches what you approved.
Do you still move in the rain?
All the time, this is the Northwest. Runners go down, furniture gets shrink-wrapped, and we tarp the ramp so nothing gets soaked between the door and the truck. Weather does not push your date.
Can you move to or from the islands?
Yes. We run moves to Anacortes, Whidbey, Camano, and the San Juans regularly, and we fold the ferry sailing and any wait right into the plan and the price.
Do you move pianos, safes, and gun safes?
Absolutely, and the price is already in your flat rate. The heavy, awkward pieces get a proper board, straps, and padding, handled by movers who have shifted plenty of them.
Do you handle military and PCS moves?
Yes. With Whidbey and Naval Station Everett nearby, PCS and off-base moves are routine for us, done on our own trucks at one written price, on the timeline your orders need.
Can you hold my things in storage?
We can. Clean, climate-controlled storage, a week or a year, and the cost sits inside your written flat rate instead of a separate surprise bill.
Can you handle a building COI or HOA rules?
Yes. Plenty of North Sound condos, offices, and HOAs want a Certificate of Insurance and a booked elevator. Pass us the rules and we file the COI and lock the window ahead of the day.
How soon should I reserve a date?
A couple of weeks ahead is plenty, though month-ends and weekends book up first. If a crew is open we will still take next-day and same-week jobs, so it never hurts to ask.
How do you keep my floors and walls clean?
Runners cover the floors, doorways and railings get padded, and everything is blanket-wrapped before it moves, so the old place and the new one both stay unmarked.
What towns do you serve?
All of Skagit County and the North Sound, Burlington, Mount Vernon, Anacortes, Bellingham, Sedro-Woolley, Oak Harbor, Everett, and out from there, plus long-distance across state lines.
Want a moving price you can count on?
We will have your written flat rate to you from the Burlington shop, usually before the day is out.
